Specially curated to promote the diverse cultures of China, India, & the Bay Area, few events offer the authentic selection of food and art on display at this Cupertino festival. Silicon Valley is a melange of people from not only Asia, but across the world, united by equally powerful drives to dine together and express ourselves. It’s in this spirit that the 2015 Silicon Valley Food & Art Festival presents an eclectic palette of international artists, yoga masters, musicians, dancers, an Amateur Chef Competition, and Master Chef Cooking Show in the region’s most popular multicultural event of the year.
Sample A World of Flavors
Every home-cook and aspiring chef has their own unique interpretations of classic dishes. Served alongside offerings from some of the best restaurants in the Bay Area, amateur chefs present family recipes and bold reimaginings of classics as varied as fried rice, Peking duck, paratha, and Indian curries. Tastings are $1 apiece, with food tickets sold in packages of five.
The Transcendent Work of Jaya King
A pioneer of modern painting, Ms. King’s work strikes a nerve in all who behold it. With pieces in permanent collections across the Bay, she’s reminding the art world how relevant the age-old craft can be in the right hands. Equal parts ethereal and earthy, dark and sublime, one thing’s for sure: whatever she brings to the festival will blow you away.
